Dietitian
The goal of our Dietitian is to provide the community with a credible source where they can receive nutritional information, education and guidance.
Many people have not had experience working with a Dietitian. If they have, it may not have been a positive experience or very effective. When people decide to make changes in their lifestyle or diet, they think they have to change everything about their eating and start over. Our Dietitian believes that many people are doing certain things that are nutritionally sound; however, they just need guidance to further progress towards a balanced healthy lifestyle.
An evaluation will be set up to help determine what path should be taken to help you adopt a healthy lifestyle. Whether it is a meal plan, education on serving sizes or tips on how to feed your family, we will work together to decide what meets your needs. Below are some other areas that can be improved by seeking the advice of a Dietitian:
· Proper ways to Diet and weight loss
· Instruction on serving size/portion control
· Tips for special diets (Diabetic, High Blood Pressure, Osteoporosis, etc.)
· Meal Planning
· Tips for behavior modification/positive self talk
· How your diet can affect your sleep
· Healthy eating for the whole family
Changing how you eat and how you view food is not easy. We realize this and are here to help you. For this reason, there is not one plan that will meet everyone’s needs. We will work on this together as a team to decide what your goals are and how we will reach them. It may take one session; it may take twelve, depending on the case. Our Dietitian has an honest, realistic approach to nutrition and looks forward to working with you in the future.
